Almería Airport (Aeropuerto de Almería) harbours both international and domestic flights and is the main airport for the surrounding region. The airport complex has a single terminal, with both arrivals and departures located on the ground floor. As Almería is quickly becoming a tourist-orientated area it is of little surprise that a number of airlines and car hire companies operate out of it's airport. Easy Jet, Jet2.com, Monarch Airlines, Ryan Air and Thomas Cook are among the airlines who service routes to and from the airport.
Car rental, which is highly recommended for exploring the sprawling surrounding region, is also straight-forward: the desks for Avis, Europcar, Auriga Crown, Hertz, Goldcar, Sol-Mar and National-Atesa are all located in the arrivals area. The airport is conveniently located close to the Autovia de Aeropuerto which takes you west into Almería or north via a link-road to the A7 (Autovia de Mediterraneo).
